Chung's Caribbean: Authentic Guyanese-Chinese Flavors & Generous Portions in North York

Food was so good and fresh I almost forgot to take a photo. Customer service was great and also helpful, as soon as we walk through the door we were greeted with a warm smile. We have definitely been back a few times. Would recommend trying them out.

Stopped by Chung’s Caribbean for lunch and was genuinely impressed. The House Chow Mein is a standout: rich, flavourful, and comforting. Could use a bit more pepper though, but it’s already a satisfying go-to. The lunch specials are excellent - great value, hearty portions, and perfect for a midday break. Pricing overall is very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly. There’s clearly pride in the kitchen, and it shows. Heads-up: Parking during the lunch rush is limited, so plan ahead if you’re driving. Calling ahead is the smart move, it makes pickup smoother and saves time. Definitely a spot I’ll return to. Great food, good vibes, and a menu that keeps you coming back.

Finally got to try the famous Chung's Carribean Hut. Their original location is in Brampton, so I'm so glad they opened a second location in North York by Keele and Steeles. We desperately needed some good, authentic Guyanese-Chinese food in this area! We got the pepper squid, shrimp spring rolls, jerk chicken on fried rice, and special chicken on fried rice. All of the dishes were delicious, and the portions were really generous for a great price. $15 for 1 main and I have enough leftovers for 2 days (In this economy, what a steal). The pepper squid was seasoned with the perfect amount of salt and cooked perfectly. The shrimp rolls had a lot of shrimp in it which was a surprise! We also loved the flavour of the fried rice here. The chicken was juicy & not dry at all. The staff are really nice, and I got to meet the chefs. You can tell they take pride in serving great tasting food and delivering excellent service. Chung's will be our go to spot for take-out from now on, and I can't wait to have my friends try it too!

We went to Chungs for dine in and it was delicious. Customer service was great, the staff was attentive and checked in on us. We ordered the Pepper Shrimp, Special Chicken Fried Rice, and House Spicy Hot Short Ribs. Loved everything! The ribs were tender and had the perfect amount of heat. Pepper shrimp at Chungs is a must try. We are definitely going to be coming back !

i tried Chung’s Caribbean today and the food was amazing! i got combo B and it was such a big portion for a great price— and everything wa super flavourful and spicy. i also got the pepper squid which was delicious. the service was great too, the owner and server were both very kind and welcoming. the inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean. i highly recommend this restaurant, especially for York Uni students!!

Went for dinner with my family we had an amazing experience. The customer service was excellent but let's talk about the food! It really lived up to our exceptions the portions were large we were very satisfied with everything. Will definitely be one of our go to spots for casual family dinners

By far the best Caribbean Chinese food in the GTA and its halal! I had their house fried rice and chicken, and it was delicious. Many places the chicken smells nasty and/or the rice is too dry and undercooked, and theirs is fresh and moist. It hit the mark on taste, freshness, flavour, appearence, price, quality and quantity. I hope they can maintain this standard in the future. Great job and good luck.
